After seeing
Jane's blogpost yesterday about her new Fandango square pattern, I had a go at making one. I like the effect you get with the two colours on this one - and particularly liked Jane's in pink and green.
Would be nice to play with this a bit more. I think a few together would look interesting with the pattern that would emerge if you did it in two colours.
Right, back to the doily!
Best wishes,
I like the dark blue and white together... very striking!
ReplyDeleteYour colors really show the design off well. I really love it!
ReplyDeleteYou beat me to it! I really like this pattern. Funnily enough, I just finished one that employs split rings all around the centre - very appealing.

I'm thinking hard about doing more with this one. Beads, bling etc. Thanks for trying it, Frivole
ReplyDeleteI love the colours, looks a lovely motif
ReplyDeleteI could not leave you a comment the other day, but I wanted to say your tatting is always beautiful

Looks great! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much everyone. I'm sure many others will have a go at that little square, it's appealing and fairly quickly tatted.
ReplyDeleteThat is so attractive! I haven't tried split rings, they seem intimidating! (:
ReplyDeleteHi Anika,
ReplyDeleteThey're not as hard as they look, I would go ahead and give it a try! It's just the start of a ring as normal and then you make the second half with your other shuttle but without flipping the stitches. I bet it wouldn't take you long to master it.
