I had another play with Marilee's pattern this morning. I think I'm happier with the result.
I think the whole design is more harmonious now. This is Lady ShuttleMaker's "Marina, a silk thread in size 20 (but it works up smaller than a cotton 20).
I recently discovered your blog via Fox, and I'm VERY impressed by your tatting skills and your designs and ideas. Your square motifs are impressive, and they create other designs when joined together! And thank you for generously offering your free patterns, which I've printed out and hope to tat (Love the Iris edging and corners!) I'm curious how you learned to tat and when.
I'm also delighted at your clever idea of the notebook ring protectors to solve the tension problem in bobbin shuttles, even the Aeros! I don't have a problem with my English Aeros, but I want to order some 'newer' Aeros and possibly the Pony shuttle (for the colors), and it seems that they have this tension problem, which you have nicely solved!
I intend to order a Pop-A-Bobbin, and I will pay extra for a crochet hook to be inserted. I'm intrigued that you and Fox were able to 'replace' your original hooks.
I look forward to seeing more of your work. Have you thought of joining the 25-Motif Challenge?
Very pretty! I think the touch of purple at the top makes a huge difference!
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane! I've had those earring findings for a while and you're right, I think they complete the design and bring it together.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I love this thread color :)
ReplyDeleteThat is quite pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice with the purple!
ReplyDeleteSo delicate and sweet.

Estulpendo, el cambio de hilo lo hizo más bello y el cristas morado de remate le da caracter
ReplyDeleteLovely!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much everyone. This second version seems definitely to appeal more than the first (it does to me as well!).
