Here's where I've got to so far. At first I thought I would design one specially for the hanky but I was drawn to my Mary Konior books (as I so often am) and had a little look in there and found this edging which I thought would suit:
What do you think?
I had a moment of doubt wondering whether colours were right or whether a white edging would be more suitable... but I have to be honest and say that I don't really like working with white. I made the Iris edging in white not too long ago so if I can get away with colours, I always prefer working with colours.
Best wishes,
I was wondering what you'd do with those curves! I think what you've chosen looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe shuttle looks like it has peacock feathers on it- gorgeous.
I love the edging and the colors. I agree with Michelle... perfect!
ReplyDeleteI like the edging and colors you have chosen! :)
ReplyDeleteAnother 'yes' from me on your edging and color choice. It will be lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt looks perfect to me, too. You have a great eye for color.
ReplyDeletePenso anche io che la scelta dei colori sia molto gradevole, anche io amo amo i contrasti, ciao
ReplyDeleteWell... you asked! I am not wild about that green. My instinct says to use yellow in the border, or pink/orange?? I find the green too drab.

I love the colors and the pattern you have chosen, I think both are perfect for the hankie and will be wonderful when you have it done! can't wait to see it :)
ReplyDeleteI like your color choice too!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks better with the green inside (ie. attaching the edging by the green side instead as by the pink one)
i think your choice of colours for the edging is bold and refreshing! can't wait to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your input everyone. Not 100% sure I'll carry on with this one yet.... will keep you updated! Now a bit more work on that Stawasz doily is in order...
