For Suztats and Happy Bluebird, here you go:
And I did it right this second time around
with 8 petals as per the pattern.
Looking at it now, I think it would look nice with another row of rings
around the outside for a stronger outline...
What do you think?
Best wishes,
Very pretty! ...and I see that you managed to squeeze in the 8th petal! I haven't looked at that book for a while. I guess it's time to pull it off the shelf!
ReplyDeleteStunning indeed! I love your work, so precise, and your choice of colours is great too!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! You had a wonderful eye when you thought about the different colors for the different parts. And I like it both with 8 petals AND with 7 - it's really pretty either way.
ReplyDeleteI think a stronger outline would be nice also. I would only be concerned that it might alter the shape of the heart. You are good at seeing just the right thing, though - do it!

Sweet!

I like both hearts, especially the second one. I'm sure you're right about the border and you are someone who could do it!
ReplyDeleteOh, it's been awhile since I've tatted this one and it is one of my favorite patterns! I've never done it in pink though. Very very pretty. I don't know about rings but another row of chains would give it a bolder frame. I would skip the picots on the first chain outline and then add 2 extra stitches on the outer row along with the picots. It's really very nice as it is though.
ReplyDeleteYou're right! The colors make the flowers really stand out. Good eye to see this.
ReplyDeleteNow I'll have to wait and see the bolder outline. I do like the 7 petals as they seem a little more open.
I don't have this book. Yet.
Hugs
Awesome floral heart! :)
