Mille-Fleurs Hairclip

Just a quick post.  I needed something to clip my hair back when I play squash.  Found an old hair clip in the girls' hair stuff box that had lost its decoration.  Had a short sample strip of Mille-Fleurs on hand…

Best wishes,
Frivole

  5. Lovely hair clip! I'll have to look up squash. I've heard of it, but I have no idea what it is... time for a new learning experience!

  7. This is very cute! I should know what the technique is for getting the pink flowers in there, but I can't think of it! At first I thought they were beads!

    1. Hi Kathy,

The flowers are made using my "Josephine Petal" method. I have a video that shows how to make them and the technique is also explained in my Mille-Fleurs pattern.

  8. Such an innovative & clever way to use up small samplers & doodads ! And I'm off to check out your Josephine Petal video right away - they almost look like crochet :-)

    1. Wow, you've used a variably padded half stitch to create the petal ! Lovely & excellent :-) In an 'exercise' on the padded double stitch started by Judith, I tried out padded JRs & JCs, but to use it as a petal is so cute ! Thanks for sharing ....
