Had to start twice but once I got the hang of it,
I enjoyed making this lovely snowflake which is done in one pass.
Mmmmm... looking at it, I'm thinking this would look nice repeated...
I think the negative space between the centre and the petals is very attractive.
And the space that would be created by joining motifs on the
corner would be interesting too me thinks...
Now I've got to stop playing... and go to work!
Update on Michelle's hanky: I found the tatting (about a quarter done) but still can't find the hanky itself which I thought would have been with the tatting. This is a mystery... which I hope to elucidate soon!
Have a great day everyone.
Best wishes,
Very pretty! I haven't ordered the book yet, but I'm sorely tempted!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pattern, it looks a lovely book, I am thinking of getting it.

This looks amazing! I have to tat this one NOW!
ReplyDeleteIt is unbelievably reassuring to read that the pattern had tested you. Even with the translations at the back, I am often flummoxed by the patterns, till suddenly it becomes clear and on the next go around I will succeed. Good for the brain, I suppose.
Her second book is just as good... heheheheheh( wild chucking of a tatting book enabler!
Fox : ))
You can chuckle indeed Fox! I have ordered the second book this morning, so pleased am I with the first.
ReplyDeleteThere are also some pretty hanky borders in there which I'm sure I will be using.
Lovely motif. I think I shall have to improve my skills before tackling this!
ReplyDeleteVery nice snowflake. I also like Susanne Schwenke's creations.
