Victorian Trellis

I don't know if any of you have joined in but I now have several videos relating to the Victorian Trellis Doily pattern (find them on my channel and specifically in this playlist).  I've often had questions about this design over the years so I thought it might be a good idea to make videos for the whole doily from start to finish.  Along the way, I'm covering other things like how to fix mistakes (since I made two that needed correcting in the first round!).

I've now started on the second round last night which is much simpler that the first.  So if you fancy lots of Victorian Sets, I hope you'll consider joining us in tatting this piece!

Best wishes,
Frivole

  2. Enjoy. I’ve tatted it before and the collar with the trellis, so I won’t be joining you.

  4. I am following and saving the YouTube videos for this collar. It is very elegant and cannot wait for my shuttle to arrive to start the collar. My one question is how many lizabeth balls of thread will I need?

    1. Hello, glad to hear you'll be making this. I welcome comments on how to improve the series of videos too. It's my first time tackling a large project like that in videos and it's not proving that easy! I hope you get your shuttle soon. For the cream one I made, I actually used only 23 grams of thread - so that's only one ball of Lizbeth. But your tension may be different and there can be some waste of thread between rounds so it's possible to use a bit more than that. I'll add the information once I complete the blue one I'm working on now.

  6. Oh how beautiful! I’ve embarked on a table runner (started about a month ago) so I won’t be joining but will watch and possibly give it a go this summer!

    2. Ich hatte mir die Farbe 603 beige und 653 Seeblau bestellt. Angefangen habe ich mit Seeblau.
Gefällt mir gut und ich denke eine weiße Stoffeinlage wäre gut dazu
