I don't know if any of you have joined in but I now have several videos relating to the Victorian Trellis Doily pattern (find them on my channel and specifically in this playlist). I've often had questions about this design over the years so I thought it might be a good idea to make videos for the whole doily from start to finish. Along the way, I'm covering other things like how to fix mistakes (since I made two that needed correcting in the first round!).
I've now started on the second round last night which is much simpler that the first. So if you fancy lots of Victorian Sets, I hope you'll consider joining us in tatting this piece!
Best wishes,
Frivole
It looks very elegant already!! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy. I’ve tatted it before and the collar with the trellis, so I won’t be joining you.
ReplyDeleteHallo Joelle
ReplyDeleteIch habe schon mal eine Probe geknotet. Bekomme die nächsten Tage mein Garn und werde dann mit der ersten Runde beginnen. Ich freue mich schon, das Muster zu arbeiten
Danke für die Video's
I'm very glad you'll be joining in Johanna! :-)
DeleteI am following and saving the YouTube videos for this collar. It is very elegant and cannot wait for my shuttle to arrive to start the collar. My one question is how many lizabeth balls of thread will I need?
ReplyDeleteHello, glad to hear you'll be making this. I welcome comments on how to improve the series of videos too. It's my first time tackling a large project like that in videos and it's not proving that easy! I hope you get your shuttle soon. For the cream one I made, I actually used only 23 grams of thread - so that's only one ball of Lizbeth. But your tension may be different and there can be some waste of thread between rounds so it's possible to use a bit more than that. I'll add the information once I complete the blue one I'm working on now.
DeleteI’m there. Great video and very informative
ReplyDeleteThank you Shirley! Glad you're enjoying it. :-)
DeleteOh how beautiful! I’ve embarked on a table runner (started about a month ago) so I won’t be joining but will watch and possibly give it a go this summer!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautoiful love the pattern
ReplyDeleteThis is Lorrie, I received my shuttle today, it is beautiful and it fits my small hand perfectly. I can now start my Victorian Trellis.
ReplyDeleteHi Lorrie, very glad you're pleased with your shuttle! Thank you for letting me know. I hope you get on well with the pattern. :-)
DeleteIch habe mein Garn erhalten und schon mit der ersten Runde bereits begonnen. Ich verwende Lisbeth Nr. 20
ReplyDeleteGreat Johanna! What colour are you using?
DeleteIch hatte mir die Farbe 603 beige und 653 Seeblau bestellt. Angefangen habe ich mit Seeblau.
DeleteGefällt mir gut und ich denke eine weiße Stoffeinlage wäre gut dazu
