Snowflake Gingerbread & Best Wishes

I love snowflakes.  Whether they are tatted, painted... or baked!  Making and decorating gingerbread is one of my favourite Christmas time activity and a lovely little gift for family and friends.  This Scandinavian recipe is particularly delicious, flavoured with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and orange zest.  I found it many years ago in a magazine and it's the one I re-make every year.

Merry Christmas!

I hope you all have a lovely holiday
and I wish you a wonderful and creative New Year 2017.

Best wishes,
Frivole

    1. Not sure they're quite like Pepparkakor but a version of spicy biscuits. :-)

    1. Hi, thank you for your comment, the doily is a design by Jan Stawasz. It's made of medallions and diamonds which you can repeat as many times as you like to achieve the size and shape you wish (square or rectangle and as small or as large as you wish) and then there is a border to finish it off.

    2. Same here - I love the dainty gingerbread, but I was looking at the doily, too! I found it in "Tatted Treasures", but it looks like you have made some adaptations to get the octagonal shape. I hope you'll let us have a better look at it... :-)

I also really enjoyed your video tutorial for adding crystals to the centre of your Crystal Star - most ingenious! Thank you for that.
