What a nice square this is! And I like squares. I must ask Ninetta where the name comes from… The pattern for this lovely design can be found on her blog.
Thank you Ninetta!
I think it would be nice to see how it would look like repeated. I think I'd also like to try it with less contrasting threads.
Best wishes,
Frivole
Beautiful! I love the colors, but I would also like to see what other combinations you come up with. You always seem to come up great ones.
ReplyDeleteTruly beautiful ! Yes, it Would be interesting to see the entire motif repeated -- will have some interesting negative spaces :-)
ReplyDeleteI assume quad is from 'quadrilateral' & 13 is the 13th pattern in this series ? I admire the way she creates such elegance in common geometrical shapes! Her nativity collage (tattingram) is a prime example.
Thank you both, you are very kind and sorry I've very little imagination when it comes to names! Quad is for "quadratino" that is little square :(
DeleteThere's a pic in flickr with 4 joined, they don't connect perfectly as there's a negative diamond space between. The 13th attemp to design a square!
Thanks Muskaan and Ninetta! It was the 13 that had got me curious… so it now makes sense. :-)
DeleteA really lovely design Ninetta! I see it's popular over the web at the moment and have seen it worked by many tatters.
Wow this is nice I love to view different colors, lets the imagination go and I got to here from Ninetta too :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely square pattern, I must try this one, I like your two colours that are very different but go well together.
