Hi Crazy Mom, it will be about 25 inches across (approx. 63 cm). The largest I'd done before that was a mere 16 inches so this feels like an accomplishment! And call me crazy (too!) but I'd like to do even bigger than that one day...
Hi Liyarra, no, I didn't need modifications... but it does tend to "frill" a bit and needs pressing every so often as you move up the rounds. I particularly disliked the long chain rounds because, as you can see, they are very arched rather than in a more natural curve so they needed quite a bit of coaxing into place!
A ja właśnie jestem w trakcie robienia frywolitkowej serwetki motylkowej. Co za zbieg okoliczności. Motylki nasze są bardzo podobne. Pozdrawiam. Zapraszam do mojego bloga. Dziś chyba jeszcze pokażę na jakim etapie jestem, post w trakcie ale udostępnię.
Wow. How big is this going to be? It's gorgeous

That is one amazing doily! It must have taken you forever. I don't think I have the patience for a project that big. Awesome job.

ReplyDeleteWow! You have the patience of a saint! It looks lovely - where will you put it?
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you! I'm not sure where I'll put it yet. I do have a few doilies dotted around the house already but I'm sure I'll find a good use for it!
DeleteLooks beautiful. Always wanted to try this but being so large was a bit worried it might not sit well. Did you have to modify the pattern at all?
