I think I'm happy with it now. I like the shape. At Lynn's suggestion, I made "chained" JKs which stay in place much better and I've adjusted the stitch count a bit more.
Next I'll show you a block of four to see the design that forms when you put them together.
What do you think?
Best wishes,
It's great! What is a chained JK? Do you have a link as to how that's done? I can't wait to see it "four-up".
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteChained JKs are simple really: instead of making your knots as a ring like regular Josephine knots, you just make them as a chain which you snug up then re-attach it where you started. Basically a chain with only the second half of the double stitch. Does that make sense?
Glad you like it!
It's beautiful, Frivole! I love the way the JK chains look!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Frivole!!! I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane, yes, they are "neater", aren't they? In this instance anyway.
ReplyDeleteHi Tattabugg, thank you! I really like your pretty pansy shuttle.
Yes, this motif is marvelous! Will you share the pattern online? I would love to give this lovely lace a go...
ReplyDeleteHi Isdihara, thank you. Yes, I will share the pattern - just need to write it up! I hope to do that soon.
ReplyDeleteI think it is great! You are doing some really great designing!
