We're nearing the end of October already! Today we had a family pumpkin carving afternoon and here is the result of my own efforts on our doorstep this evening:
I do love carved pumpkins!
In fact I just really like pumpkins, to look at, to carve... or to eat!
To celebrate pumpkins and the beauty of autumn,
I decided to have a giveaway
of....
yes, of course, a pumpkin shuttle!
This lovely shuttle is made from a vintage pumpkin purée advert.
I really like the contrast of the golden orange pumpkin on a black background.
Very striking.
To have a chance of winning the shuttle,
all you need to do is leave a comment.
(to make it easier to count for the draw, I will not answer comments on this post,
but I thank you in advance for your comments and for participating)
I will hold the draw on the 31st of October.
Best wishes,
Frivole
Very impressive carving! We eat pumpkins here but don’t carve them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful carving. We have only done the simple carving. None recently as the kids are all grown. We live on a dirt road and no one to see the pumpkins but us. We eat them in stead, yummy.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful shuttle! That carved pumpkin owl would look great as a stamp as well. Have a lovely autumn!
ReplyDeleteThe pumpkin shuttle is beautiful! What a stunning carved pumpkin! I'm legally blind and have to hold things a band's bredth away from my nose to see them well, so carving pumpkins is definitely out for me, but I appreciate your talent!
ReplyDeleteYou are a pumpkin LOL yes amazing!
ReplyDeleteTruly appreciate your talent in designing Tatting shuttles.
I've never seen such a gorgeous carved pumpkin before! That is simply stunning! The shuttle is adorable and it would be so much FUN to tat with it. I don't carve pumpkins, but I DO cook them, then make pumpkin pies and sweet breads with them, sometimes pumpkin soup, too. At our house we tend to prefer the sweet pumpkin goodies instead of the savory ones.

ReplyDeletePumpkins and Halloween aren’t really observed here, but I do love the shuttle! I’d like to add my name to the draw please.
ReplyDeleteDave is the pumpkin carver here. No matter how I try, my pumpkins are always a mutilated mess! I do enjoy making pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread, especially pumpkin bread! Please put my name in for the shuttle drawing. It's adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely pumpkin, the ones we get here are quite thick skinned and of course we only get to practice carving once a year so my attempts are poor. In previous years I just used a black marker on the outside and used the pumpkin for baked goods in November. Please do add my name to the draw.
