Mystery Doily - Round Two

It's slow going but I completed the second round.

I'm undecided whether to carry on further or not... The tiny-rings-short-chains tatting does gives this an original look which is delicate and full at the same time.

Best wishes,
Frivole

  1. This is fantastic work it look tedious, I am not going to try this because now that several people have I don't feel the pattern sounds clear enough. but I know why everyone did it cause of the challenge, it called like a siren to a sailor but not sure want to do that! gonna plug my ears for this one! :)

    1. The problem is though, as Fox said below, there is something weirdly beguiling about this pattern which makes you want to continue! I've got so many other things I could be doing though... we'll see.

  3. What you have tatted so far looks really lovely and I can understand why you may not continue, little rings and short chains can be very time consuming.

  4. I am about a quarter of the way finished the second round and your photo makes me eager to continue.

It is tedious but for whatever reason this annoyingly finicky pattern has me spellbound! I love it.

Yours is so lovely in that colour. Thanks again for the help.

  5. Looks amazing! I haven't put this one on my to-do list, but I like to see what others are doing with it.

  6. Very nice, I have printed off Georgia's instructions from BellaOnline, but have not taken any time to study it. It may be on my to do list, but then so much else is too.

    1. I know the feeling Ladytats! My list is endless... as in, I don't think I'll ever get to tat all the things on it in my lifetime! :-)
