I recently discovered the joys of making Pysanky eggs (wax-resist dyed eggs) and have been having fun making several (once you start, you can't stop!).
I made my very first YouTube short showing the process if you're interested.

Egg with two colours (there's a layer of yellow you cannot see) and wax still on (sorry, ugly paper towels covered in sooty wax!)

Another egg completed but wax not removed yet.

Same for that one. ... See if you can identify which these two above are in the box below!

Two of my favourites... but I've already made more since!
Happy Easter Everyone!
Best wishes,

Wow, those are amazing. Beautiful. No, I’ve never heard of Pysanky eggs before. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jane! :-)
DeleteThose are beautiful! Years ago, I purchased a kit with excellent directions on making Pysanky eggs. I've never had the proper materials close at hand, and I never remembered to look for them when I went shopping. I finally gave the kit away. I'm often tempted to purchase one when I see them, which isn't very often. Are the two on the left in the box the ones that you're asking us to guess?
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, that's interesting you had a kit! Of course, I don't need another crafty thing to do, but I couldn't resist trying them when I saw them. They are fun to make! :-)
DeleteAmazingly beautiful eggs! I have only seen this type of decorated eggs in a museum. So impressive!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marilee! :-)
DeleteOh, my goodness, those are amazing! But a lot of work (and artistry) involved. Thanks for sharing, and Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Hallie! :-)
