Here is yet another way I have used tatting recently. This is an unfinished project at the moment but I laser-cut four pieces of wood with snow crystals. I didn't know whether I was going to make some sort of light box or ?... So there is no bottom to this piece yet, just four sides.
I'm enjoying finding as many ways as possible to incorporate tatted lace into my projects!
Best wishes,
Frivole
I think a light box would be a lovely item and its all so wonderful
ReplyDeleteI would want to use it much more often, so a storage box, put somewhere to view, it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYes, you're right. I might cut a bottom for it, line it and use as a storage box as you say. :-)
DeleteHallo Joelle
ReplyDeleteDas ist wunderschön geworden.Gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut.
Du hast bis jetzt Occhi-Spitze gut umgesetzt
Ein ganz dickes Lob von mir
It’s so beautiful! Consider selling them in your Etsy shop someday? It could be dual purpose, a gift box including some lights so that after the gift is received, it could then be the light box!
ReplyDeleteAnother great idea Michelle! :-)
DeleteThat is so pretty, whatever you're using it for! Usually we look other's stuff for inspiration in designing tatting, so I'd call that an experiment of reverse engineering, Lol!
ReplyDeleteYes! That's a nice point to make Ninetta - I like "reverse engineering"! :-)
DeleteThat is so awesome!!! :) I am sure if you do make it into a box, you will have all of us tatters wanting one. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt would make a lovely box, perhaps a lining of red or blue which would show though the pattern.
ReplyDeleteYour tatting designs are certainly blending well with the wood work
I just loooove it!! this would make an awesome box to sit on the coffee table with tatting projects in it.
