Tat-ilicious Indeed!

I received my first purchase from Jess at Tat-ilicious and I was not disappointed - I love the colour!  I shall be keeping an eye on what else she comes up with...

Earrings tatted in "Chilled", size 20.

Best wishes,

  1. That's lovely indeed!

Did you create the pattern for the earrings, or where is it from? They are very sweet!

    1. Hi, yes, my pattern but so simple really... based on the same idea as the Tischband flower with repeated chains and then I added another round in the middle which is just rings because I didn't want the flower to be "flat".

    2. Thanks for that. I was not sure how the bottom layer was constructed. I like it a lot. It may be simple, but you have done a lovely job. When I try to improvise earrings, I never get nice, graceful designs...

One more question: How did you attach the pearl? Did you just glue it?

    3. No, I sewed it on, using the the thread ends from the centre element. I've not tried, but I don't really like the idea of using glue with tatting... but no doubt it would work too.

    4. Oh, I am not advocating using glue! I think the sewing is a *much* better idea - I love when those ends become useful! I just did not realise pearls had holes ;-)

  8. HI Ancolie, no it's actually a greyish purple, looks very nice with the blue. It's always a bit difficult with colours on monitors, isn't it?

  9. These are gorgeous! Wish I could figure out how to construct things without a step-by-step pattern. This looks like something I could make, if I only knew how. There's so much to learn in tatting!
