Oh dear, I'm not making time to post on my blog again! There are always so many things to get on with aren't there? But I really needed to update a bit since my last post was about Easter eggs!
Over the long May Bank Holiday weekend, I was busy tatting some earrings for my daughter to take with her to a craft fair she will be attending.
She wanted something fairly simple and "leafy" if possible as my daughter's theme is nature so when she saw Lilliantatlace's Verdalet she thought it was just the thing! I like the shape of it and it's pretty quick to make. I tatted a few pairs of those and then some flowers which are my own design as well as the pair of little apples which are also my own. My daughter chose the colours to keep with her nature theme.

Lovely earrings. I like that shape too. I hope they’ll sell well.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers proved more popular than the "leaves" in the end but I sold several pairs which is great. :-)
DeleteI love these earrings. I must try tatting some jewellery. And I sympathise about keeping up a blog; I've only recently started posting again this year. It gets harder the longer you leave it, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteHi Frankie, thank you for your comment, yes sometimes the gap gets too big and you wonder what's interesting enough to talk about next!
DeleteLovely earrings! I've made a few pair in the past, but I don't feel inspired to tat them. There are so few friends and family who would wear them, and I've given up selling at craft fairs. I wish your daughter great success!
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane, my daughter did really well in the end, it was a good weekend for her. I now need to make more earrings for her next fair. I have a couple of friends who really like my earrings (and daughters too) and I wear them often myself so I've always enjoyed making earrings. :-)
DeleteLove, love, love your earrings!
ReplyDeleteThank you IsDihara! :-)
DeleteAww, those are lovely! Hope they do well at her fair. I'm in central US and summer seemed in full swing here, too. I hope that's not a foreshadowing..... Well, I'll "leaf" you to your tatting!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thank you Angie! As for foreshadowing... they do say there will be more of this unusual too hot (or too cold or too wet!) weather...
DeleteBeautiful earrings, I hope your daughter sold them as they are lovely and great colours for summer, yes it has been too hot to do anything, its nice to see you blogging, and like you i have not done much blogging over the last few months due to illness. Have a lovely weekend
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, always lovely to hear from you, I hope you're starting to feel better. Weather has gone back to fresh and wet for now! Daughter did very well, thank you very much!
DeleteFabulous earrings!! :)

Thank you Sue!
DeleteYour earrings look great! I hope they go over well. I have several pairs I've been thinking of making, but keep putting them off. Not to sell, just to wear ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you for your comment, I always enjoy wearing lace earrings, I hope you'll get around to making yours! :-)
DeleteBeautiful earrings! I love both patterns. Thank you for introducing me to them.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, I'm glad you like them! :-)
