As it is, I have to wiggle to make the join.Frivolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10318670621310820581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114660986925655424.post-51655762556754968272011-03-30T14:42:03.760+01:002011-03-30T14:42:03.760+01:00I purchased (on eBay) some of those coil-less safe...I purchased (on eBay) some of those coil-less safety pins for about $4.00 - including mailing.

I find if I use those to begin the chain there is less chance of a sloppy stitch when I join up at the end, because the beginning picot is so tiny. I nearly always have a tiny flat knot, not possible when you need to wind a new shuttle.
MargaretMargarets designer cardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07649752567816134409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114660986925655424.post-48159479578378552592011-03-30T12:46:07.534+01:002011-03-30T12:46:07.534+01:00Yes, that's right Diane, if you start with a r...Yes, that's right Diane, if you start with a regular double-stitch, your picot will disappear as the knots will be able to slide back. Would it help if I took photos of the whole process?Frivolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10318670621310820581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114660986925655424.post-16641785900666833982011-03-30T12:35:01.715+01:002011-03-30T12:35:01.715+01:00I have avoided pieces that start with a chain, bec...I have avoided pieces that start with a chain, because I couldn't figure out what to do. Even with the paper clip, I have lost that first picot when I took the paper clip out. Thanks for sharing! I will try this!Lace-lovin' Librarian ~ Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06032689683092213368noreply@blogger.com
