Looks wonderful here in pink, with your perfect tatting!

Mary's 'Visual Patterns' book made a huge impact on me back in the early '90s, as it was one of the first, if not THE first, major publication where color was used in the diagrams, which I thought was great! I'm amazed Mary was able to get that accomplished with the publisher! However, I agree that it is not clear in the drawing where to join the picots, and I'm not sure I did it correctly on my (so far) only try at the pattern. I agree that the pattern/drawing does need some clarification.
Kathy Niklewiczhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03471658272689112787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114660986925655424.post-27724128600645813122013-01-09T18:03:33.801+00:002013-01-09T18:03:33.801+00:00Beautiful heart and lovely color! I hope the angels are learning a lot while she tats up there.
It's going to be a while before I can get his new book and I saw the post on intatters yesterday, it's naughty to say they are my designs and then use hers as a base, he should at least have put it more prominent that it was based on her design.
Your heart is beautiful in the pale pink.
MargaretMargarets designer cardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07649752567816134409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114660986925655424.post-86841717479744081142013-01-09T12:09:50.022+00:002013-01-09T12:09:50.022+00:00Yes I'm thinking of a way to write it down so ...Yes I'm thinking of a way to write it down so I can refer to it more quickly than in the book. If you want to write to me using the "Email Frivole" link in the right sidebar, I have the corner written out and I can send it to you if you'd like to have it. My version of the edging is also a tiny bit modified from the original so you can have that too if you like.Frivolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10318670621310820581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114660986925655424.post-18701309885431920332013-01-09T11:06:54.212+00:002013-01-09T11:06:54.212+00:00MK's heart is one of my favorites, and it does...MK's heart is one of my favorites, and it does look lovely in dusky pink! I was inspired by your version of Anne Orr's pomegranate edging, and wondered if I could use your corner, and also your extra picots, if I reference back to you? I have found your tatting fascinating and inspiring, but I never know how sensitive anyone is about people using their stuff. I feel "when in doubt, ask" is probably the best way... :)Katherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16535283952234877878noreply@blogger.com
