How to Use a Picot Gauge

Here is another short video - especially for Michelle who said on her blog that she found it hard to get the long picots looking right on her snowflake and wondered if she was doing the gauge thing right.

You can view this video right here but if you wish,
the image is larger if you click on it to view it over at You Tube.

I tried a different setting and lighter background for this video - is it better?  Clearer?  I even have no dark nail varnish on this one!

Best wishes,

  1. Frivole,

    Thanks for this!

I have one of the Handy Hands picot gauges that I have been using it for the long picots, but did not know if I were using it as I should... seems I am. Good to know!

  4. I LOVE to watch you tat! Excellent tutorial and I do like the new background (and your clear nail polish!). I've never used picot gauges before, but they definitely would come in handy for the long picots! I like the way you finish the knots before removing the gauge!

  5. Very straight forward! I don't have a picot gauge, but I've always wondered how to use one. Thanks for this :)
