Criss-Cross Snowflake Pattern

Ok, after much soul searching (and I still don't know if I'm doing the right thing!), I decided to list this pattern in my Etsy shop.  In the hope that if I can earn a few pennies with my tatting, my husband and children will forgive the too-many-hours I spend with my shuttles!

This pattern also looks great with beads
either bugle or seed beads
(or both as in this one!)

My special thanks go to Carol Lepard who test-tatted this pattern for me.  You can see her versions of this snowflake here.

Now, so as to be forgiven (will I be?), I am offering the pattern for free to the first 10 people who comment.

Best wishes,

  2. I went directly to your Etsy shop before I read the offer for a free copy if your one of the first ten to comment about this beautiful snowflake-- it wasn't there!! I better be one of the first ten to comment or you better get it listed quickly so I can buy a pattern.

I was just sighing over the fact there is no way I can buy it now, and I was *so* looking forwards to it being released!

  6. There are now five comments. I don't approve comments before they appear so if you are the first ten, you're ok! Thank you for your enthusiasm. It's all new to me this pattern listing, the first one sold straight away so I've just relisted it.

I'll get this right eventually! :-)

  13. Stacey generously gave away her free copy as she had already purchased the pattern so the next comment will be the last to get a free copy.

I will be emailing the patterns so for the ones who don't have an email address attached to their blogger profile, please contact me (by using the "Email Frivole" button at the top of my page).

  18. Weeellllll....I said I had no problem hopping over to your etsy to buy your lovely pattern..however now I may be a little upset ;P I hopped over intending to ONLY purchase your lovely snowflake pattern when what do I see but, your gorgeous (and much longed for)violet shuttle there just tempting me to get it! Now Frivole, you know I have two of your lovely shuttles already (both of them my favorites) and I really have a hard time resisting your shuttles anyway and this is one that I believe Fox has and I have drooled over hers for a long time, as my favorite wild flower is the violet. Now I ask you how was I to resist also adding to my cart that lovely shuttle!!! Well the resistance just crumbled away and it just kinda ended up in my cart and then I clicked buy really quick so that I wouldn't behave myself and remove it ;P Tehehehehehe so now I will have a new pattern and a new shuttle!!!! and I am not really upset just teasing you a bit!!!

  25. Google must have eaten my comment. >.<

Anyway, your pattern and finished piece are lovely and I think the price you set is fair. I'm not tatting lately since I'm experiencing like crazy with my crochet, but I do love your snowflake. Cheers. :)

    1. Hi Dana, thank you! Funnily enough, although this was one of my first patterns, I think I may tat it this year to send to my family.

And I know what you mean about crochet fever…
